Sorry I don't know details, but Frank was such a class act and great player for so long I thought I'd post. I just read this on Facebook from Ricky Carranco, a trusted source.

RIP my longtime friend 😢

Yeah, I knew Frank. Although he was known for being a great 3cushion player, he did/could play a little One Pocket - we played One Pocket once...RIP Frank

p.s. I also got top-speed 3cushion player Mazin Shooni to play me One Pocket once (y)

Frank and I were friends over 50 years we played many tourney in San Francisco San Jose and North Hollywood. We were close friend a I always respected him, not for his quality of billiards, but also the way he would treat and respect lesser players and talk with them and give tips to them. He was a clssa act and although I haven't seen him in years, I always followed him in tournaments. He was a fantastic golf player on a very tight table. I used to play in those games and I would win 1out of4 or 5. But Frank was the favorite. Other players were Roy Hargrove, the smartest player, his friend Gene,Joe Amendola,me--Sam Worley and some times Cowboy Jimmy Moore would com to town to play. What a fantastic player in all games . Those were wonderful days. But also I played in a tourney in North Hollywood when Allen Gilbert had a 31 inning game in50 point finals and Frank had 2 24inning games...The equipment was slow super couldn't cloth and the ball that was red was dark red. God bless you Frank

Thank you Samuel for your post. Are you Sam Worley that I knew from North Hollywood Billiards who was a postman? This is Dave Gross . I used to play there from late 1976-1980ish. If so, man you had a good stroke!

Hope to see you post more in the future. Frank will be missed. Here's the last picture of us from 3c tourney in Tucson, Jan 2022. Again, thank you for your post.

This is fir Mazin Shooni. Congrats on winning recent tourney. Keep going. It's amazing that Frank Torres could average one at his age. When we get to this age we must ask, as we did during younger years WHAT IS MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD? AND IN SO DOING WE MUST FACE OUR FEARS AND NEEDS AND DESIRES. WHERE R WE GOING TO SPEND ETERNITY? TO EVERYONE JESUS IS THE ANSWER. WE WILL MEET HIM AS OUR JUDGE OR OUR SAVIOR. GOD IS GOOD!!!
