Race to 5 both sides of the Banks division is nice. Race to 4 both sides in the One Pocket also.

Races to 5 banks makes sense. I've always felt that races to 4, rather than 3, would be better at the DCC. Races to 3 are too short in 9 ball bank pool. The winner only needs to pocket 15 balls!

Somehow it seems like the person, who most knowledgeable people think is the best player almost always wins it though!

You might be right. Still, it seems like there's quite a bit of variation in banks tournaments winners, e.g. at the DCC banks event.
