I've been wondering what most players want to do when they're breaking.

I've looked around and it's not something that anyone talks about unless its been covered in a book or DVD by someone.

I guess most important...where are you trying to put the cue ball?

If you get a chance watch Luat vs J. B. in the finals of banks... both controlled the cue and set it one diamond above the side pocket in the middle of the table... each broke and squatted the rock...

Just my two cents, I get close but don't get the same action they do...

If I was a serious bank pool player, the first thing i'd do (if I didn't already have it) is get a copy of joe tucker's racking dvd. That is going to teach you how to FAIRLY make a ball on the break with a 9 ball rack IF you are racking your own -- which all tournaments (in all games) really should be switching to I feel. I have already said more than I am accustomed to :heh
