Some of the standard rules in the game have been changed. If you make, (any) form of a, 'cushion first' shot, the player gets 2 points.

I'm not! It made the thought process of TOP player, 'greedy' because of the, '2 point' scoring opportunity. And many times I've seen that backfire on them. Another reason is the 15 point format, and short sets.
