Rule -- ball in hand foul

According to the WPA rules, the cue ball is still in hand, and the shot was unsportsmanlike conduct. Without an official, I think it's reasonable to count it as a standard foul. You take cue ball in hand behind the line and shoot a shot. What's wrong with that?

Rule -- ball in hand foul

That used to be a foul in the CSI rules too, but they removed it. Probably too many fouls called in league for tying shoe laces. I believe the rule was originally written against one specific player who annoyed the officials. Not Shannon. I think the rule should be deleted. If the problem is...

Rule -- ball in hand foul

About the corner hook shot: If you don't have a ref, UC is a tough situation. I can see an opponent say, "I'm just taking a foul, like any other intentional."

    Hal Mix books available

I have no idea where Hal grew up. So far as I know, his adult life was spent south of San Francisco where he would have been around players like Dorothy Wise, Sax Dal Porto, Tom Ryan, the Plumber, and Tony Annigoni, and the rest of the regulars in the area. He later retired to Oregon.
