Had a great time. Thanks to Kolby's for letting us play there and thanks to Grady for the action and Lenny for streaming the match.

I also played in the state one pocket championships over the weekend. I barely snuck in the cash and had a good time. Even with the big daddy (Scott Frost) away in Las Vegas, there are plenty of good one pocket players in Arizona. Not quite his speed, but very good players.

Got to visit with SJD and my old friend Frank "The Barber" Almanza came over from Los Angeles to watch the match Monday. Frank is a year younger than I am and just finished in the cash at the 10 ball tournament at Hollywood Billiards. The old guys aren't dead yet.

I'm on kind of a roll, so lets find another senior one pocket player I can mix it up with. I would hate to see the horses get the $$$.

I'll be 71 in a month and I'm going to fire it up as long as I can. Hope it lasts a lot longer. John

Congratulations John!!! I had a good time watching you play. Thanks to Fast Lenny for streaming it and thanks to Grady for starting the whole thing. Someone has to win and lose, but equal respect and thanks go out to the both of you.

My suggestion for your next matchup, is Billy Incardona. I have not got to see anything recent of him playing.

Let's get him out of the booth and into some streaming action! Maybe TAR could get something going on this one, so as to get a video out of it one day.

Let's get these guys together and RACK EM UP!:)

Last time I fooled with Billy was Galveston and it cost me plenty.

I would need some weight.

John-- just a thought off the top of my head: Jerry Brock has taken up residence in Mobile, which is an hour from Gulfport. He'd probably be up for a match. It would be nice if y'all could coordinate a session around the time of the Surber event, 7/17-18.

Jerry is 64 or 65, but he still plays well. There might even be an outside chance of a match with The Tuscaloosa Squirrel-- who is around 80.

If you want me to pursue it, just PM or phone me.

Doc

The match

The match

John Henderson is a nice guy and he played well and deserved to win. I didn't feel like I was myself. I was seething with anger, too, which, as soon as I cool down I'll explain. Not towards John, of course.

Baby,

Maybe you haven't noticed...These days, Mr Henderson only accepts challenges from "Name Player's"
(however, he may make an exception in your case..heh,heh..:D)

Do we really need to know why you were "seething with anger"? Please spare us the drama.

I'm too old for 7 ahead, but get the $$ together and you are down for a race to 7.

What do you think is a fair spot? Did you play Billy heads up in Galveston? I thought it was some kind of partners game with Artie.

Billy, get in here and offer him a fair spot!

I want to see you and John play:D

And just to show how much I would like to play this, I will pay for the rent on the oxygen bottle you may need as you come out of retirement into this more rarified atmosphere than you are accustomed to.:D :D

It was a partners game with Billy and Artie and I was way out of line and they tortured me.

I don't think I would have a chance with a ball, so maybe 9/7, 8/7 would be something I MIGHT try. I have not heard of him playing any, but he might get tuned up for the Derby.
