I started playing a little pool, but not seriously, at Jim Wise's and Dorothy Wise's room in Redwood City, CA, 1960. I actually once beat Dorothy in a game of snooker, playing call shot for the time, a small fortune in those days, and coming down to the 7-ball, I made, maybe, the most memorable shot I have ever hit.
Unfortunately, I never played any serious pool for 30 years, US Navy for seven years, the last five as a certified nuclear operator serving aboard two nuclear submarines, four years at university and then working in the electrical construction industry.
