Ok, you southern boys can relax now - no road-closing ice storms this year at the DCC...:)

I just checked out the weather report covering the first 3 days of the DCC....This weather forecast is for Louisville - but the casino is right across the river from Louisville, so it's the same weather...here ya go >>>

http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USKY1096

Not bad, pretty seasonable for mid-January, a tad on the cold side = 30's and partly sunny...most of you guys probably will never go out the door and see the light of day while you're there anyway though, lol.

Two years ago, I have memories of chipping 5inches of ice off my truck and still having ice flying off when I got back to Alabama,

It cannot be worse than it was then.

Billy, seein' as how the Ghost is a noted stone-sucker go-off at 'weather prediction bets'....I'll take 4-1, sociable sweat bet - $50, that the high temp. in Louisville for Saturday 1/22 tops out between 30-35 degrees......:D

Boy, we're sure glad we'll be getting out of here, huh Bernie and Lenny ? I see we have a 'bone-chilling' cold front moving into Phx. around Derby week. Brrrr...
PS..Of course the Gho$t will feel like he's on a stinkin' summer vacation, compared to the f-ing polar ice cap where he lives...

I keep trying to trap Billy in a bet..;)..but unlike Papie and John H. (think kick-shot prop bet in Galveston) Billy's too wily - I can't get him to go for anything...

Seriously though Billy...I think that your offering of that 4-1 line for 2112 is fairly close to an even-money bet, based on the fact that the normal range for Louisville on that day of the year is between 20-45 degrees...

Taking into account temp. extremes, I'd probably have a little the worst of it, but I'm considering your offer...:)

Seems like we get a big snow every year at the Derby. There may have been a couple of years it stayed clear but I'd almost bet on snow without looking at the forecast!

Sherm, you only got to give me 6-1 - you'll be stealing betting on the snow...;)

I hope weather is not an issue at the DCC this year! As of this week, I have had to clear the driveway/parking lot 4 times. Living in the north east.....snow is just a distraction more then anything.

I'm picking up the rental car in a few days, 4 wheel drive was not a consideration in my picking of the vehicle! :)

G.

MUCH more then snow will be needed to keep me out of the DCC!!!!

oh yea, the ole 610.... it's out back bye the wood shed. we got a whole 6 inches the other day, and the 610 cleared the drive way in 5.8 seconds.....

I then lent it out to the PA state highway maintenance crew for the afternoon.

you know, in times of snow clearing......you can't be greedy! :)

After thinking about it...I think we better not make a bet for 1 year in the future...not to be superstitious but..it might jinx us, as to us both still being here a year from now   :D

I knew you had the nuts with the prop bet. Quit thinking you are so smart.

The whole purpose was to get you down playing one pocket for more $$, which worked, but you pulled up after losing two games.

The Ghosty is very elusive and too smart for me (I thought) and then he up and bets $500 in a partner game where I have a better partner than his partner - ME.

If that is confusing, I have had a few Blue Moons too many.
