Congratulations to Fedor Gorst for winning the Omega Racks on the Rocks $325 One-Pocket event against a strong field of 24 competitors. Gorst sailed through his first three matches without losing a single game – it was a winner’s side races to 4 format — before he finally lost two games to Sky Woodward in the 4th round, before knocking Sky to the loser side 4-2.
The semifinals and finals featured three exciting matches between the young Russian phenom Fedor Gorst and American One Pocket star Tony Chohan. Gorst won the hot seat match 4-2, but after Tony ended Josh Roberts’ run by the score of 3-1, Chohan returned the favor, beating Gorst 4-2. This was a true double elimination finals, so it came down to one last race to 3 to determine a winner, where unfortunately for Tony, he finally ran out of gas against the unflappable Russian by a score of 3-1.
Congratulations to Tony “T-Rex” Chohan for his 2nd place finish. And congratulations to Josh “The Beast” Roberts for taking 3rd. Josh Roberts had won his first two matches before he got dropped into the loser’s side by Tony Chohan. Josh managed to battle his way through that side of the bracket to finish in 3rd place, despite also serving as expert commentator on the Omega Billiards TV livestream.
