Frank, I considered that reply too but thought this other shot to be easier to execute and the results just as effective. One difference as I see it is the position of the eight ball. Because there is room behind it and the rail with good touch I should be able to snuggle the cue ball behind it. A second difference is the ease in which I can push the seven close to my hole on this shot while loosening up the ten ball too which makes that many more problems for my foe.
And no Frank, no bawling out. It's a good idea and I thank you for posting the shot from my book. It can certainly work if practiced a bit in anticipation of its coming up in a game.
