About 12 years ago I bought a cue while living in WA. It was right about the time I slipped away from the game for 10 years.
For some years my brother had it (to encourage him to play - he never did). I took it back when I started to play again.
I'd forgotten about it, wasn't remembering who'd made it. Jeff Gregory helped me out a few years ago and took it home, brought it back told me it was a David Tice cue. ( ugh, of course..).

In 2022 Jeff introduced me to Ian Costello so I could look at his Tice cue. Ian just won the Jerry Johnson 1P (Amar came in 2nd).
Well, just back in July at the Chuck Memorial Jeff told me Ian was ready to let go of his Tice. I jumped on it.

The original Tice I had, suffered some water damage while in storage a few weeks when was moving from CA to NV. The Costello Tice needed attention also.

I just got them back today from Proficient Billiards in PA. Fabulous work, incredibly fast and absolutely no fuss.

When I was checking it out, Ian told me that cue/shaft had made $400k. I looked; it added up. :)
That would be the leather wrapped which came with two matching shafts.

What ever became of Mr Tice? His cues are wonderful and he is an incredibly nice guy.
I'm afraid I can't say, Mike. It seems to me perhaps he hasn't made cues for (?) 7-9 yrs.
I am very fond of both cues.
..been playing w/ Ian's old cue (correction to my original post - 140k, not 400).
