I was on pool action tv yesterday looking at the events they are streaming in the future this year and something caught my eye...
It said that Alex and Tony are playing September 8-11 for 100k. However, I haven't seen any details on this site or on any other sites on the internet yet to confirm this.
Does anyone have anymore info on this?

Tony would like Buffalos because that is his home court. They are probably looking for a neutral location that suits everybodies needs.

Gotcha, that makes sense. Never knew that 'home court' was a huge advantage in pool until I saw Tony play at Buffalos in May. He looked so relaxed and comfortable while he played...

Details coming soon guys.

Tony will be getting 9/8 like last time they played in September 2021 in S Carolina.
Tony was not feeling that great for that last match.
He had a bad foot and a boil and feels like he was not at his best.
He's ready for another shot at the Lion

He's playing much better right now...it will be very hard for Alex to give him that spot. I will be looking forward to a great match!

I'm not super hip, but this is the impression that I get
what's the rationale behind the spot? will tony really not play alex without it?
is alex planning ahead? for 100k tho.. is 9/8 that big a spot to begin with?
so many questions..sounds fun tho ^_^

Alex has beat Tony the last 3 big money matches they played.
He beat him 36-29 giving 9/8 last match for 75k

Does anyone know where I can find the last match up to watch back? Doesn’t have to be free..
If it was on PoolactionTV, they are not yet uploading past matches for any kind of ppv or free. Keep beating the drum :D I think I heard someone say that was Ray's "retirement plan". Someone needs to tell Ray that retirement planning is something you start early -- you don't wait until you retire lol.

It just goes to show how well Alex plays, because Tony is really playing great these days, and as good as that is, Alex can spot him 9/8!

since the match is over a month away
here is a mini sidetrack to the thread
is 9-8 really a spot with players of this caliber?
I think when you are talking top 10 or in this case top 3 where either can win on a given day, any little spot or advantage seems big. Icbw but that's my take.

In your mind, you are the better player, especially if you are giving the weight. The other guy thinks you are the better player because he is getting weight. Especially when it has worked out before.

I have played and sweated one pocket for 65 years. Most of the time, the player getting the spot, loses.
