Your pocket is "A" and you are shooting. How would you shoot it?

A friend of mine ran 6 from here and should have got out but he got tied up on the 7th ball.[CUETABLE]http://CueTable.com/P/?@2AGbj4BBTb4CBjp2DRqY2EVRf4FDfV4GRFL3HBCX2IPFM2JaBU4KUwN4LMwK4MJNJ3OBcI2PMLW3QcYv@[/CUETABLE]

Looks like if you 2-rail the one you're going to hit one of those balls on the long rail and may or may nopt get a shot. Only other shot I see is kissing the 8 off the 15 and using the 3 as a stopper for shape.

I would bank the two ball two rails and then come around and get a shot on the two ball and then nudge the three ball and then get behind the 15 8 and the 6 and 3 ball and then come around and pick up the 9 4 5 and ten ball. And if I get short positon on the 8 ball first I would make the 8 ball and nudge the 3 ball and shoot the 15 ball and then I would shoot the 2 ball 3 ball and the 6 ball and get behind the 4 balls on the end rail. You can run out both ways. That is what I would do.

Here is how I'd start my assault. Hit with top left spin.

This is the correct shot from here. Safe if you miss. Just play the cueball behind the balls. If you miss and sell out a shot at the 6, he'd be crazy to shoot it.

Steve..... I don't know how to duplicate the table but that is the ball he shot for sure but instead of a one rail he used something similar to Cowboy Dennis' double kiss bank on the one ball with high left and made a perfect 2 railer that was safe if he missed. I had showed him the 2 railer that Cowboy Dennis had demonstrated from his WEI table the other day and then someone else showed him this shot.

After the game was over we set it up and he shot it several more times. The cue ball ends up behind the balls every time if you miss and the one ball 2 rails to the hole or very close .

Try it....you may have to use it one day. Just use a little left english with a high ball and hit it where you are sure to get the double kiss.

P.S. I know I'm going to get a reprimand from Artie:) for "trick shots" but it does actually work and the shot is safe........... It's just like Danny Deliberto's "high karate" shot as he calls it.

Your wright the angle is to much and even if you yous a lot of english the cue ball eill come all away around to the bottom rail and you wont wave a shot on the 8 ball or the two ball. you could make the one ball but you wont have no position the shot is incorrect and the wrong shot. Banking the one ball one rail and gitting behind the balls is the best shot and even if you dont make it you will have him in a trap.

No its incorrect it can not be done at that ANGLE. And even if you come close the cue ball will end up on the bottom rail. I looked at the wrong angle. It can not be done. SO DONT WAISTE YOUR TIME SHOOTING IT THAT WAY. Practice shooting the one rail bank and gitting behind the balls. Thats the best shot unless you want to play a complete safe shot too lock youre opponent up.

I could maybe one-rail the one ball, but I'm not sure I could keep the cue ball at that end of the table to shoot the others. I will set it up and try it this week.

Being the bonehead I am, I would be more likely to thin the six ball and send it two rails into the area of my pocket, pocketing the eight ball on the carom. It's a dangerous thing to do, but our challenge here is to play offense, ain't it?

If I had my druthers I would thin the six on the left side and leave the stone in the middle of the short rail and hope for something better to appear.

Dennis.....I hope this doesn't confuse people but I left the 14 ball out of the equation. It should have been a blocker to prevent the one railer on the one ball. And....I have adjusted the 9 ball also so the 14 ball that was added to the WEI table wouldn't be straight in.

The one ball is still the shot nothing changes and you still bank the oneball one rail and put the cue ball behind the balls. That is what I would do.And the one and fourteen ball makes it even harder for the opponent on the next shot.

That shot is no good now. This could happen very easily. You put yourself in your own trap.

I think you are correct Dennis. So what is the correct shot then?

I do not see much offense here now. I would not want to move the 9 in front of the other balls but I probably would.

The shot is the 6-3-15 combination, 15 into the hole, and back up 3 rails with the cb to behind the four balls at the top, isn't it?
