I have brought this up before but why oh why cannot these so called great announcers have a runner to bring information to them about what is going on in the other semi-final, especially since they decided not to broadcast them all. They are never prepared with any information on other matches which is not hard to do when the field is small. I got a lot of my information by listening to Scott announce upcoming matches in the background although sometimes was hard to do with all the gabbing going on. They don't seem to have a clue we would like to know. It is like NFL broadcasting with no information on other games. Ridiculous.
But I sure loved watching that last match.

100% agreement Suki...I loved hearing the matchups in the background. When the announcer is on, the mic of the broadcasters should go OFF LOL

And also agree...that was an awesome match.

I think this is important feedback. The live coverage has only been happening for a few years. Rob Sykora and Pat Fleming should get this feedback for future broadcasts.

For Accustats, sharing other match information might not make sense to them, but coupled with live viewing, I think they'd understand why some of us would like it.

I can understand Accu-Stats could care less but it has no affect on their tapes and dvd's, it is just more chatter. The last couple of days they were admitting they had no clue who had buybacks. How sad is that. 16 people left all they have to do is get the list from the Scott or the desk. I did love it though when Billy finally said it would be better for 1p to get more shots from the side of the table and lo and behold finally we were getting a better prospective of so many more things. That head table shot can be terrible for seeing how good or bad shots are or even if they are possible. You would think someone would have realized that years ago. I know I mentioned it to Pat a long time ago but who the hell am I , right? No offense toward Pat but I wonder if they really realize that. Billy got it done, hooray.

Any clue who won between Putnam and Miller?

Miller could be looking at Master of the Table at DCC if he could show a decent finish in the 9 ball event.

NH Steve - thanks for the great pics; the AZ-1P room was a great idea and you guys did a terrific job setting it up (eatin' my heart out not being there). The AZ-1P banner is one cool-looking item; if whoever winds up with it is interested in auctioning it off, I'll start the bidding at $150.00. I can't think of a better pool memorabilia item than that banner.

To err is human, to play on air is divine.

One has the members who attended this year ,it is to be brought back next year for others to sign and for the ones who were there this year to re -date to keep a running count of years attended when its full we will have to decide its fate

The other one has the pros signatures on it and is smaller than the other . I have an Idea that I pose later about that I think will go over big I just want to wait til DCC is over to reveal it ...

Just saw an update

On BCN site it says on left side
Reyes, Alex and Miller in finals. Does not say who got the last bye. So Putnam out.

Nice! I missed that. If Miller plays tough and gets a good draw in 9-ball, he is going to be tough to beat for the all-around. After his great performance in the last 2 years at Derby City, you gotta love his heart.

And unlike some of the other specialists, Jason is a tremendous 9-ball player.

They're drawing on BCN right now to see who gets the bye.

...

...

and.....
Jason draws a King first

Efren has a 9, so he plays.

Alex draws, and slow peaks.... a KING!!!!!

Jason and Alex redraw.

Jason draws a crappy 4.....

Alex draws and slowreads..... a THREE!!!!!!

WOW!!!!!

So, it's Alex vs. Efren. Jason locks up 2nd and unless Efren wins the 9-ball has all but locked up the overall!!!!!

Their should be 3 banners. 1- 4x8 unsigned to keep for next year's DCC, 1- 4x8 that the members of AZ/1p sign and keep for next year's DCC and 1- 2x4 that the pro's and celeb's are signing to be auctioned off for charity at a later date. I am glad you guys are enjoying them. Thanks for the kind words!

"The Draw" had more drama than the NBA Draft for MJ and Ewing. HUGE!

LOL That was really exciting and Alex made it that way.

Efren is unreal. He was giving me chill bumps the way he was bumping those balls out of the stack and getting shape!

What an imagination.......and then he pulls it off

THey're already a few days into the 9-ball. They announced after the bye draw of the 1-pocket final that Jason did in fact lock up the Master of the Table title.

Edit: Maybe not. Jason has a 1st and at least a 2nd.

Efren has 5 or 20 points from the Banks, and at leasts a 2nd. If Efren wins the 1pocket, he'll have to do well enough in 9-ball such that his 9-ball points plus his small points from Banks overcomes Jason's 2nd place plus whatever Jason gets in 9-ball.

Just before the One Pocket final, Bill Incardona took Efren's cue while he was in the bathroom and pretended to auction it when Efren got back. Efren looks up where Bill was at and says pointing to the monitors, "Hey, you on BCnTV. No look, you on BCnTV. You on BC...Hey, that's my cue!" This is a classic. We love you Efren!

I doubt he's wearing it as a fashion statement.

He wears it normal, often. When he's in action, he turns it around on some shots to keep the brim out of view, and doesn't bother to turn it back around. I do the same thing.
Hmmm... Tough to make a joke around here. Which way do you turn your hat when you go to bed?
