I guess I should pay a bit more attention. keith

Here's a BUMP for an old thread.

Kinda like math students at MIT, i sometimes spend some time figuring out problem shots....

Still can't figure this.....

Whatta you do?

(Hint: Rodney shot the best imo....but....its gotta be *perfect* touch - from there no-less - absolute.)

What if the cue ball is in the middle of the end rail instead of in the pocket as shown (3 balls spotted), what's the shot then? I was just asked recently and didn't have a good answer.

I agree about not wanting to shoot the 2 rail kick in this instance, but 4 or more I like it.

Thanks,
Dave
Ike left me in the middle and I kicked with three balls lined up and it came out well

As for kicking 2 rails

I believe it's a better kick from center table.

I believe you want a split hit on the spotball and the ball touching it.

The nice thing about the two rail kick is if you hit it decent (and don't scratch back up table lol) then you often put a lot of pressure on your opponent, with three balls spread in your lower quadrant. But I agree -- 4 balls is better!
