Nice find, Bill. Layton is a little stouter than some of the drawings I've seen of him.
That may have been the 1934 match. If so, Cochran won the year before and the year after.
I'm always surprised at how fast the tables were in that era. I guess they had Simonis then too..;)

Tremendous footage! I love Cochran's shot! I believe that is a Martin cue he is playing with. It has an ivory butt and joint.
Johnny was the world's pocket billiard champion in 1916
He first won the 3C Championship in 1920 and last one in 1934. I have records of 7 titles total in 3C.
