Everything in the building will be new. The insulation, all ceiling tile, all flooring and the bathrooms, kitchen and bar have all been completely removed and replaced.

The air system has been redone. There is no hint of smoke left in the building.

I think the best date would be around the time of the WSOP events.

There's way too many poker players that stake pool players and like getting in the mix themselves.

There's big money around then as you know. The last few years there's been a ton of action in the pool rooms and most of the road players are there anyway.


Maybe one day the pool players can stake the poker players.

lets have a discussion on the dates for the 2017 US OPEN ONE POCKET.
It will be held at our new room in Las Vegas - which will open around August of 2016. It is in the old 'Pool Sharks' location.

The room is being completely remodeled. Everything is new; including the insulation, ceiling tiles, carpet, underground plumbing, electrical, kitchen and bar and equipment. And the bathrooms will shock you on how nice they will be.

All the windows will be gone and everything will be controlled by lighting. There will be 'about' 16 @ 7' tables and 8 @ 9' tables. All Diamond Pro-Ams. There will also be a beautiful Regina 6 x 12 set up for golf action.

To avoid short notice and to avoid date conflicts, lets try to find a date that makes the most sense to the most players. CSI will try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate. It may be a limited field because of 8 competition tables, but if it is an isolated event, it could run a day longer to hold more players. There will be a permanent streaming table and good food, full liquor and a few slot machines. A little bit of everything for everyone.

BTW - this will be a very comfortable room, your wife will feel comfortable watching and hanging out. This is NOT your normal 'pool room'!

So - help me out. What dates will work best?????

Hey Mark,

Good to see you jumping into the room owner world. My suggestion would be end of July, following the west coast swing. most Players will be on the west Coast for most of the big events starting 1st weekend in July. Other then that maybe look at late feb. I would like to start a second west coast swing involving Ca Billiards, Hardtimes Sac, and Hardtimes LA then swing to vegas for Yours. Might work either way.

Mark, glad to hear you are going to have the One Pocket Event. Whatever dates you choose I'm sure will be just fine. Now get us players good room rates at the closest casino to your room. That's important as the nut has to be as reasonable as is possible.

It's great that you are planning something now, so people can get their schedules together.
It makes me crazy, when someone advertises a tournament, a week or less in advance, and I have to miss it, because I have a doctors appointment, I could have changed, if I had known the month before.
