Hard to put Tony over Alex imo, Alex has beaten Tony soundly for the cash, the last time they played which wasn't all to long ago ( 6 months maybe? ) Alex torched Tony giving him 9/8.

I know you know these things, just wondering why ur always trying to put Dennis or Tony above clearly the best One Pocket player on the planet.

Time.for a.realiatic list for 2022
All lists start with the reigning King 👑 ( drumroll )
1 - Alex the Lion

2. Tony the tiger

Here's where we shake things up
3. Fedor Gorst ( literly worked his way to this spot already )
4 Scott Frost

5. Josh Roberts

6. Chip Chompton

7 Alex Calderon

8 Shane Van Boeing
Dennis might be the best when he's playing...unpopular opinion to most though

I really think it's hard to determine the top players in one pocket based on tournament results. I like the formula Joe put together for basically cash winnings to rank them and that's about the best we have to go on for now. What I was thinking is we should use only challenge matches to base them going up or down the ladder. Race to 27 or 30 or whatever they want over 3 days is a much better way to gauge it.

I am glad we are starting to see some more of these challenge matches (tony vs chip, gorst vs frost, chip vs shane?) and I think those will all be very telling on who is at the top of the pile.

Looking forward to it!

On that topic, I would love to see a summary of all the challenge matches so far. We can go back to Fight Nights or whatever they used to be called and even those that happened before then. So I don't hijack the thread here I will start a new one.

chris i like your idea as another way to measure
but a match in 2017 for example does not say who is better TODAY

duly noted!

I still think it's cool to have all that info in one place just like we have our http://www.onepocket.org/record-book/ (which needs updated..)

Maybe we add it as a tab there but there's more columns in the spreadsheet and factors to see (spot, race, venue, etc)

imo.....throw a dart at tony, alex, fedor.....there's your top three.

big drop off to the second tier.
I think Dennis (I guess we can't count him until he gets back in the states) and also Filler can be in that top tier too before the drop off.

1. Tony Chohan: Is he first if he is getting weight from Alex?
2. Alex Pagulayan: Plays Tony in October at Buffalos giving 9/8.
3. Fedor Gorst: He has arrived.
4 Chip Compton: Beat soundly by Fedor, now playing SVB.
5. Shane Van Boening: Playing Chip next.
6. Evan Lunda: His thrashing of Roberts got everyone's attention.
7. Josh Roberts: Lost to Lunda badly.
8. Roberto Gomez: Beat Deuel, looking for the next dance partner.
9 Scott Frost: Sky has called him out. Will he play?
10. Justin Hall: Perennial top 10

No Frost top ten?
doh! missed him! Although I do have him falling...I am taking Dennis out of my list...

Alex
Fedor
Tony
Filler
SVB
Chip
Gomez
Frost
Lunda
Josh

Probably should remove Filler too since he really hasnt had any matches but as one of the best ball strikers out there, I am surer he will be up there somewhere...

I don't understand people who think that Fedor understands and plays the game better than Tony...

If they are gambling and playing even, I like Tony all day over Gorst...If Fedor isn't running out, he has no chance of beating Chohan

fedor is learning as he goes he sees the moves put on him
but when he does it back to you the cue ball is alittle closer to the rail or the ball than you did it.
i know tony was not bearing down and filler was smoking but look how badly tony got beat in roys basement by filler
just sayin
