Had a grand time hangin with Col. Bill E. and Pel all week.We were 3 pees in a pod:lol Pel..like always took a bunch of us to Binions and wouldn't let us pay.Only cost him bout 400$ by the time we got out of there:eek: I didn't do very good even though I made the $ rounds in all three.( 6th in banks,7th in OP,and 5th in 9ball) Think I finally figured out why I kept missin but it was a little to late. The new balls (cyclops) are slick as snot and alot of my little pet shots were not working, come to find out my cit was not working, the cball would just slip off the oball and I couldn't get any cling on it.That's my excuse for the banks,I can't come with any for the 9ball and one pocket, cept maybe not playing enough straight pool before I went down there:lol.

Need to thank Jamie new 2 u cues for giving me lots of support and hangin with me. Met alot of good people and made some new friends. I did have some good luck, Steve Lomax is going to build me a new set of matching weapons, player, break and jump/ and jump cue.The set is going to be worth about 10k he tells me. On top of that John Barton is building me one of his top of the line cases to match my new cues. So all in all guess I did have a good week.
Thanks to everybody I got to talk to and hang out with down there. Oh and the HOF dinner was a blast as always.Fred and Steve did a fine job!! Onemore thing...it was somethin to see when big tuff Cliff and big tuff Tony got up there on stage and cried like little girls:lol I'll tell ya and they will too..that's more pressure than we have ever felt playing pool!!! It does something to ya looking out at all your peers sitting there. It's awesome though after it's all over, haha Glad to be back. John B.

We were disappointed that we didnt see you in the DCC bank ring game. Did you get to see any of it?

Good to see you back on the forum, John. I wondered if you'd had some technical problems in the banks. The Cyclops balls may be more congenial to certain types of players. I'm surprised that Greg is using the Cyclops. They must not be getting a very good deal from Aramith...;)

You would think after 2 years of sponsorship ole JB would learn it's New2YouQs.com... but we'll give him a break since he's from KY. He doesn't like me scoldin' him!

Thanks Doc,I think your right again. Those balls are so darn slick you can't get much on em if any. I banked all the straight on shots good but my pass overs just kept coming up short. I think I would have been ok had I figured out what the hell was going on quicker. Maybe it didn't bother the ones who don't play bank pool:lol
If they are going to use them I will get a set even though I don't like em.Did you know you can see through part of the cball? I got used to that in a day or two. JB

John - Not sure if you remember us; we were the two Kevins from Milwaukee. Had a great time partying with you, Col. and sister in the casino on Friday night. It was the highlight of my first time at the Derby. Good luck to you sir, and I hope to get down to see you soon for a much needed bank lesson.
