Nah, I just always liked my games or I didn't play. My credit has always been good, so I didn't play just because the rent was due. I always liked my games, I didn't want to give away any of my action. I have been broke many times and got money to play, but always stood good for my end if I lost. I owe no one, I've owed many, but paid all. Being a good guy is probably why I've been so lucky.
Sorry I hit one of your sore spots.:( You always turn vicious when somebody pokes you a little. Toughen up. :D:p:)
Rod.

Im just trying to point out the small minded thinking that has ****ed pool up. Pool players that have screwed over backers is a big reason why it is so hard to make any money in the game. If someone is willing to put up money on me, i have way more respect for their money than i have for my own. I gamble EVERYDAY in the casino and im taking the worst of it but i know that going in. The people who bet on me or back me know that i match up good, I dont take chances for ego sake. Also people know better than to even think of asking me to do any business. Someone approaches me about that shit not only will i let everyone know about if they have a problem with it i will kick the shit out of them. Pool players who dump and screw backers over make me sick. Look who won the Action award this year at Derby City...last year he was trying to get Chris to dump Dippy... and this year people vote the same guy for the action award... thats the thinking thats wrong with pool. I learned alot of how to play the game from Ervolino but he along with alot of others( a few at least are in the one pocket hall of fame) were known dumpers etc. Look at the top 10 one pocket players in the world today, at least half of them are known to having done BUSINESS at one time or another. That mentality made of made all those i just named some quick money but it cost all them 100 times as much in the big picture. For so many pool players on here that all think they are triple smart it just proves how frigging ignorant they are. Instead of cleaning up the game/sport people turn their head as long as they get a piece of the action.

Here is another contest that might change the polls a little.

Who would Efren -- if he had to have one --want to have as a coach?

Beard

Well now Freddy, you know he couldn't pick you - or me......because...

...there would be countless times in important games where he would be ahead 7-3 or 6-1, or similar to that, with balls dangerously still down-table, and we would be correctly telling him he has to 'play the score' and send balls up-table - but he won't want to listen to us and do that - he'll want to shoot a straight back bank instead, bringing another ball back down-table if he misses, and thus, significantly increasing his opponents chance of coming back and winning the game....as we've seen him do many times...:heh

Your just what the doctor "oops" the Beard ordered, backup for the floundering Beard. I was wondering when you would come around, knowing the distress that your homeboy was under. What are we going to do now? there's two of them.

Yes, the Beard is often out 'floundering' - but I didn't realize that you knew about that hobby of his - he doesn't talk about it here, only on the fishing forums......on this site he only talks about the other kind of fish..:heh...and as a matter of fact I happen to have a pic of him having just 'made a score'...:heh >>>

- Ghost

PS, And needless to say - although the Beard is to humble to say so himself.....he is very possibly the best all-time flounder fisherman...:D

PPS, And he has an amazing fishing 'beat list' - on it are: marlin, bonefish, shark, wahoo, tuna, grouper, tarpon, just to name a few.

Poolplayers have a rather small well of money from which they can fill their bucket regularly, I am not surprised at the things that they do. Furthermore isn't that almost to be expected.

Without an international stage for the game, there will never be any significant money.

Guys who attempted to start tours in the 80's and 90's learned that tournaments are 80 percent of the time losing propositions. Poor poolplayers the top 500 players or so have very little to do battle over. To dump or to ask a guy "let me put the bite on you" unfortunately go NEARLY hand in hand.

Beer and cigarette advertising is gone more than 20 years now, what's a player to do?

Efren should want mcready to coach him, and he's probably never lose a game for the rest of his life if he actually listened to him.

So far it looks like SJD has a slight edge in the voting based on his sense of humor, drinking ability, and the fact that he was the only one of the candiates that would shoot a freebie... LOL WOW these candidates over the years have really impressed the voters..LMFAO this might as well be a presedential election lol

It's 6:20 AM and I haven't even ceared my throught but I'm LMAO. Too funny.

This should thin out the field.

My next post will contain a trivia question... "Who is.....

Blatant, gratuitous, self aggrandisement.

What else is new?
If nothing else, I am consistent.

I'd like to hear your logic here. Please explain.

Oh man, I have seen efren backed into a corner about 1000 times.... 963 of those times he just spears a ball in and runs out. That's what keith would have him doing every shot. You'd have the perfect pool player... perfect offense combined with zero fear :)

Just to ponder a point,..I can't help but wonder, if I had said the same things you or Petie said, (jokingly [sic] of course) If it would have elicited the same lackidasical response ?.

Nah, I'm sure it would probably have started WWIII...  :D

How many more straws do you think that camel can carry, especially with a broken back.

Didnt you read Vapros #7 post in the members section? You know the thread you started with your usual cry for sympathy and "victim" status, "Puleeeze Fred..." I thought Vapros covered the subject quite well.:sorry
