I agree with LSJohn and Straightback. There are pluses and minuses for each side. I recall Grady going into detail about the break side in one of his excellent videos (perhaps the "Finer Points of One Pocket"). His conclusion was that the various arguments pretty much even-out to where it shouldn't make much difference, providing that the equipment is not an issue.
The point about from which side the breaker is better at making spot shots is compelling, although perhaps not enough to tip the scales. I've always practiced shooting spot shots to the right-side pocket because I felt that shooting from the other side was easier, so I wanted to try to even it out. Now it really doesn't seem to matter.
I think most right-handers typically shoot a spot shot to the left more naturally than to the right, as they do so with most shots to the left. For a right-hander, shooting cuts to the left almost feels like they're shooting "with the grain" in contrast to shooting "against the grain". Not to be cosmic or anything... To the left seems more open, whereas to the right seems closed. There are better ways to say that.

Doc, you mention you feel about, RH players that they prefer to cut balls to the left then right. Is the reasoning have anything to do "eye dominance" or just because they're arm and body is on the "opposite" side of the direction you're cutting the ball?
