Is to go back to cocktail napkins, placemats, and matchbook covers.
Thw wei table offers a potential of accuracy that is unrealized as long as the dimensional aspects/relationships of ball and table remain out of synch.
At the same time, how many folks mention that 'such and such a ball is frozen to the rail' when that should be the case as determined by eyesight: one should not have to mention it. However, if one goes into black and white mode and moves a ball to where it is frozen and then switches to color mode, the ball moves a pixel or two (due probably to screen resolution).
Recently having become even more of a crumudgeon I shall, in the absence of a real live table with real live balls, attempt to avoid the seduction of the WEI and stick to written or verbal descriptions.
