Shooting at my hole

Here is a layout of a shot I took the other day and was curious what others might do. I took the shooting route and didn't make the ball (came out ok though) but I really didn't like any other shot that I thought of. (I have pocket A)

I may shoot at it myself,... if you beat the kiss, (looks close on the WEI)...you have a decent chance of getting safe (as you show)...but anything less than making the ball...could be game over..

If a LOT was on the line, I think I would give up my measly one ball, and hope for a better shot next time. Doesn't change the game that much, and may allow you to move some balls away from his hole, on your next shot.

It would be awful easy to give up the game by going for it...IMO

Yeah as usual on the WEI this was off the top of my head and the exact angle may have been a little different regarding the kiss.

This was for real cheap so I didn't see the need to duck but for something big I really like your safe kick. (why sell the game on a sketchy kiss)

its past my bedtime .ive tried to put this on the wei table but its not working . id hit the 7 and follow the q to the short rail and bunt the 7 up table/ all im doing is waiting for my next turn. i realize i did not accomplish much except not give up a ball witha scratch and did noit leave much

Good catch lll...Thats definately the shot... I obviously did not notice the 7 was exposed..(I sure as hell would have seen it on a real pool table though) You might even be able to pinch it enough to get the 12 out too...You are just getting too good at this WEIn pocket...I may need weight....

That was the original posters fault.....

In real life the 7 wasn't hittable by the cue.

You're right though that would be the best with the given table.

The WEI table is not working correctly right now but I'd consider two-railing the 13 ball near my hole. If you can slide off of the 11 with the rock you come out alright.

Even though you're behind, I think this shot is a little too risky. I would play it like this. Well since he has posted that the 7 wasn't a choice, my shot is no good. Maybe 2 rail the 13 and rool the cb up on the long rail. This makes him shoot the combo next . If I make the 13, I then shoot the one. I might then be able to get po' for a cross-corner bank. If you shoot the 13 head on with stop english, that angle will make the two-railer go long.

That's the shot I saw too Doc. I think you have to concentrate on hitting it with pocket speed, and if he wants to shoot at his hole God bless him.

I also like the two rail. It does leave open the 12 so your opponent can sell out if he misses.

There is also, Thin the 10 cue ball past the 4 to the bottom rail. This is tough but puts the 10 in a good spot for later with the 12 blocking access to 10.
