Folks, I just got this email from Phyllis Gumphrey.
Hi Bill,
Just wanted to let you know that Papa Gumphrey (Steve & Bobby's Dad) passed away yesterday afternoon at his home in Cumberland, MD.. I was there and Steve's 2 sisters were there along with his step-daughter who has been taking care of him for a while now.
I don't have any details yet except the funeral home is called The Adams Family funeral home in Cumberland and it is going to be this week. Possible Wednesday.
If you don't mind, I would greatly appreciate it if you could you post on A-Z and other sites you go to; that the Original "Gump" has passed and is now with his 2 sons. I am borrowing my son's computer briefly now as mine is in the shop. Otherwise I would go to those message boards myself.
I will have some pics of Steve soon too that I can put on my computer when I get it back.
