You know...I know I should of left this "thread" alone, but OK. First as I said earlier, I know smoking is terrible for you (and me). I would never for one second try to argue that smoking has any redeeming benefits for the smoker (short of psychological). I too lost loved ones to "smoking" (BOTH PARENTS), it will likely kill me. When I stated smoking (a gizillion years ago), there were commercials on TV and in magazines for cigarettes with guys in white coats (pretend doctors) saying "and they are good for your throats too". Now that being said....Casinos have some of the best air filtration systems available in the world (they can afford it). If being around "smokers", causes you "migraines, vomiting and overall poisoning"....HOW did you ever play pool (or learn to play), "if" 99% of the pool rooms in the country allowed smoking up until 3 or 4 years ago??? Did you not get "migraines and vomit" prior to 2008? OR were you the "one pocket king" of your basement....just honing your game waiting for the day when you could take your highly honed skills (developed in a non-smoking environment) out of hiding to the supposed "Non-smoking Derby City Classic"? All this was "derailed" and you could not "gamble" there because a couple of "ji-drools" were breaking the rules and smoking on the table next to you? As far as my "politics"....I would not think you would want to go there....I thought we were talking about "smoking and pool playing", but if you need "enlightenment" in political thinking....I will be willing to provide it (for a FEE of course.... me being a capitalist and all).

Petie, If you are refering to my little joke, racism never entered my mind. I shined shoes as a kid myself. I was, and am, refering to his [sic] "qualifications"...You are right, its not cute, but it is factual..JMHO

Actually, I was. You see, you are one of my hero's and I just hate to see you sully your own image with sh+t like that. I really wish I could have met you at DCC. I was really looking forward to it. Artie too. I wish the best for both of you.

and I apologize.

I still don't believe what you said in your post, but admittedly that is just my opinion.

Thank you it was true. I was sick from the smoke and that is why I got so upset. Its not like I have never been around smoking. The migraine came next morning and I have never been nauseas previously with a migraine. Thankfully, my morphine took away the headache. When you get old, ship changes. I quit smoking pot because it gave me headaches, but that's an old. old story among others. Lets just keep it civil when we disagree.:lol:lol

How do you get the casino to enforce the rule ?

Well, if they ban it completely, all us smokers could find something else to do in late January. As I said, I have never violated their smoking rules. I call a time out and go burn one. It does not seem to hard to do as smoking areas are just outside the rooms upstairs. I doubt anyone smokes in the large arena downstairs. If you smoke there, you just have to decide if your seat or your craving is stronger. Good thing we can hold off on sex for at least that long! :) I know Ace missed his beautiful wife so much I thought we were going to have to dart him with some estrogen.

Don't worry. Obama will now do something as he is supposedly a non-smoker.

No one in our society is trying to force more rules on how we live than the Christofascist teabaggers.

I live in PDX.. or, as GW called it, Little Beirut. They sure do love their open-minded liberal ways up here, which include telling you that you must, too. For a city so bent on individuality, they're just as quick to tell you what to do as anybody else. (To me, half of the laws are like disallowing the removal of an infected organ.) :frus
