In Memphis they play with a red ball on the middle spot as a hazard. Hit it and it's a foul. If the red is knocked of spot and you leave a object ball on (it won't spot back up) you move it to next spot. Takes out a lot of banks.
If you guys play on a 5/10 put a coffee can in center table

We used to use a leather pill bottle. They play a similar game in Canada with extra hazard balls.

I forgot about the hazards!
We would play with up to 3 sometimes (red balls) but it was a not a foul to hit them, only a foul if you pocketed one.

For 3 days. Everyone even and no coaching. Starts at $25 and goes up $5 every game. Draw for partners, low pill breaks. Don't worry, it ain't cheap...everyday we get to $80 or even $100 in 7 hours of play. We maybe can cut the pot every game for LACYS. I'll bring the chips and the pill jar. $100 buy in til it gets to $50, then $200 buy in, quit when you want to. If your match is called your partner plays for you. If two people are called to play the game is canceled.

Is the "buy-in" money used to pay for the games you lose or does the buy-in money belong to the house as a green fee?

I just noticed that this event is at the same time as the huge 4 bears casino event that I love to attend.
Let's see:
I have yet to be asked to do commentary for the 4 Bears event.
I've already sent in my entry fee for the One Pocket.Org event.
The 4 Bears Event is one of my favorite events of the year and is located in New Town North Dakota.
The people who run this event are some of the best you will find anywhere.
The One Pocket Event is the first of its kind and is being held in New Orleans, La, my hometown.
The people who participate in this one pocket event are some of the best guys you will find anywhere.
I can sleep in my own bed if I play in the One Pocket Event.
I love one pocket.
I love 8 ball.
But I can sleep under a pool table on concrete.
