Personally I really enjoyed this 'biography' of three great players from the 40's, 50's 60's: Luther Lassiter, Fats, and Jersey Red. The book traces the background of all three players, culminating in the Johnson City tournaments of the 1960's. It's a well worthwhile read if you are curious about the traditional road player lifestyle and the Jansco Brother's Hustler's Jamborees. I thought it did a great job, especially following the careers of Red and Lassiter. Fats has been covered a whole lot elsewhere, but I felt like I learned a lot about both Red and Lassiter in the book.
I would definitely recommend this book.
