(While Grady Mathews fully intends to be at Derby City again this year, he won't be fully recovered enough to take his turn in the Three Legends, Old School Pool Seminar at DCC. His place in the One Pocket instruction will be taken by the legendary Artie Bodendorfer. The price per person this year is going to be $120, with the extra $20 going to Grady himself to offset his medical expenses.)

The 4rd Annual,
Three Legends, Old School Pool Seminar at DCC

Artie Bodendorfer, Danny DiLiberto, Freddy "the Beard" Bentivegna will host their annual OnePocket, Straight Pool, and Bank Pool seminar at the Derby City event. The program is 4 ½ hours long, and features an hour and a half each of OnePocket, Straight Pool, and Bank Pool instruction, along with personal interaction, road jackpots, and stories from those road rascals. Danny will handle the Straight Pool, Artie will cover Onepocket, and Freddy the Beard will do the last 1 ½ hrs. on Bank Pool. Cost is $120 per person, and will take place at 9 am in the Straight Pool Room at the Horseshoe Casino on January 23rd. Due to limited space we are going to cut off the enrollment at the first 21 paid. We had a full room last year so reserve your spot early.

Possible guest appearances promised by Jay Helfert, Billy Incardona, and hopefully if he is up to it, Grady Mathews himself.

Reserve with Freddy the Beard by mail, PayPal to my email address, or call 312 961 8888 or 773 956 6280, or email me at bankingwiththebeard@comcast.net

(....all 3 of us may be old, and a little broke-down, but we still got plenty of knowledge left in our still functioning brains. If you want to learn what we know, show up.)

Now is everybody's chance to finally found out if Artie's 30k lessons are worth it -- and for only $120.

I will definitely be there, how can you not take advantage of this "once in a lifetime" opportunity. I can't wait to hear what Artie has to say about 'mistake free one pocket' Hopefully many of the one pocket .org members will be there too, so we can all learn a little more than what we have already learned from "The Geezers";)

Guys; This sounds like it's going to be a GREAT seminar, I'm thinking having part of the funds going to Grady is a GREAT idea! Also, having the Professor of "Mistake free one pocket" on board will make the registration go through the roof! I only wish they had a Billiard table at the venue so I coulld help you guys out for a GREAT cause. I'm sure it will be a fun and an extremely informative day!

Changes in DCC Old School Pool Seminar

Changes in DCC Old School Pool Seminar

I need to announce a few changes in the 4th Annual 3 Legends Old School Pool Seminar at Derby City this year. Firstly, the date has been moved from Jan 23rd to Saturday, Jan 21st. Secondly, due to family health matters, Artie Bodendorfer will be unable to atttend. His place will be taken by World Champion, Bank Pool Hall of Famer, John Brumback. There are still a few spots open so register as soon as possible to reserve your place.

Either is fine. It is filling up fast. Just got a PayPal payment from Carla Johnson from the old Rack in Detroit. She was one of the Old Guard.

Was there any other city in the country that had two women who gambled and gambled well? I played Carla back in 78-79 or so and I was around Lori many times but we never played, both gambled and had plenty of heart & smarts.

First: I certainly hope for the best for AB and his family. Sorry to hear he won't make it to DCC (for my own selfish reasons).

Second: I didn't know that was your address, I sent the "package" to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue:sorry. I hope Michelle doesn't mind Traci Lords there:eek:.

I had such a case of the hots for Lori. Shot good, looked good, bet good, and could woof with the best of them. I was in my, "I better not f*ck up my marriage, and not get involved with Lori,"mode. Plenty of rhythm between us too.

Intercepted the package before Michelle could do much damage to it. But i am not sure what to do with the Bill Ayers and Van Jones autographs she managed to get in before I could stop her. I got there just in time to pull the pen out of Bernadine Dohrn's hand.

Sorry to hear about Artie's family problems. Hope for the best.

Dennis, may I infer from your post that you'll be at DCC?

Petie,

Let me answer for Denise, as he is busy with his part time job, as a Walmart greeter... (1) His idea of a "road trip", is Toledo, Ohio...
(70 miles)...(2) He will NOT fly, so thats out. (skeered, I think)...(3) He is too cheap to stay at the hotel...or to pay a few bucks, to watch any of the events..(even Efren played God)..:p

So I think I can safely say, NO..Denise will not be at the DCC..

PS..Also, he is afraid it may snow in Detroit, and he would lose out on his HUGE 'snowblower' income !.. :focus

Ya, I thought I knew from previous posts that he never goes or would go to it but then he sounded like he was going to be there for the seminar with Artie. I'd still like to meet Dennis and all of you guys. Is there a dinner planned? I'll have to lure Dennis to somewhere near him at a later date.
