Steve's shot --- his pocket is at the top left --- ball score is 3-1 Ghost ahead, both going to 8 --- not a whole lot of options here/not that easy for Steve to come up with a viable, productive shot --- wwyd? ----->

You need something that goes on your side. 2 rail the 9 opening the 9/1/14 with follow dropping the cb to the end rail. It appears to be a natural shot with no double.

I'm definitely playing the 4 ball to the stack of balls and putting the cb back to where it is now. Its only gonna get tougher if you dont get something on your side. If I sell out a shot it could come with a sales tax.

I am shooting the 9 almost straight ahead but cutting it slightly to the left so that it hits the edge of the 8 ball. This will cut the 8 towards my hole and send the 9 2 rails towards my side.

Cb rolls forward to rest on the side rail with the 11 and other balls as blockers.

Here's the shot for somebody who can shoot as straight as Shane or Josh Filler. Shoot the nine ball exactly straight ahead. It's lined up to hit the outside of the 11ball. This removes your opponent's best ball, knocking the 11 to your side, and the 9 will carom bank cross corner to your pocket. Stun follow your cueball forward to hide behind the 8ball or the stack.

I will do like Hardmix, with the primary goal of leaving Jojo in Ghostie's corner. If I nick the 11 ball, that's okay, but I'd rather not. OldSchool will also shoot thru the 9 ball, but he wants to leave Jojo out on the table. Force-follow is my choice, as it is so often in these WWYDs. I can force follow.

Hey, that's my shot! I came up with that before reading what you wrote. Although to me it looks like the 9 is going to catch the 3 first, which is fine. Either way the cue ball can glide right through the maelstrom and get to safety on the bottom rail.

I'm playing to, bank the 9 ball 2 rails into the line of balls, and, 'stun-follow' the CB to the 1st diamond on the short rail.

The OB needs to travel faster the CB here to avoid a, 'kiss' just before the short rail, hence, the, 'stun-follow.'

The 9 ball needs to be contacted about, 90-95% full, for the CB to go behind the 8.

I'm not going to choose a shot where I have to leave the cue ball down table, so playing off the 9ball is not an option for me. Kybanks shot looks to be a good option. Too many uncertainties with the other options that have been discussed. I will either shoot Kybanks shot or take an intentional.

looks to me like you can play pocket speed at the 9 8 combo to move the 8 towards your hole and bank the 9 two rails to sit on your side and roll the cue ball after the 9 to land to the bottom rail

Too many options for your opponent down table in my opinion. Either freezing you to the stack of balls or putting you back in the same spot with more balls open. I wouldn't mind an intentional to get a thinner angle on the 4 ball cross corner.

If the 4 ball hits the 15 first, it will send the 9 off the 14 towards his hole, maybe in. Just thinking.

I love it. If you loaded up with low left, you could cut that sucker in and draw the cue ball just short of the side pocket and then spin it into the 13 ball and possibly make it, too.

I like flyers, me back cutting the 9

Mr. 3c, I believe you have diagrammed Hardmix's shot, except for the path of the cue ball.

Bill, I don't ever look at others posts, before I post my choice. Just view the, OP's first photos/diagrams.

Damn Ghost you do not give a guy much, your only mistake that I see is that the cb is not froze on the rail. I am going with Hardmix shot, for I need something on my side of the table. Whitey
