As my first post I"m firing at my hole!
Absolutely! Bank the 3 and draw back for the ball near the foot rail.

It's a hanger! :)

Well like a lot of youse guys also chose, Steve decided to bank the 3 - but differently...instead of heading toward the 8, he loaded up with inside english so as to leave me tough on the one ball if he missed...his speed was good, but he didn't cut it quite enough and it ended up like this >>>

Since I'm real tall, I look at the bank shot of the three ball from a different perspective. Two diamonds off the head rail and one off the long rail, is a Difficult Shot To Reach for almost anyone, you will most likely need an extension.

Yeah Bill...I should have added the fact that Steve had to use the bridge to bank the 3...for a lefty that bank would have been the nutz - a lefty could comfortably bank it and draw back to shape up the 12.

I assumed he was a righty.....saw a ton of lefties at this yrs US Open Mandalay. Must of been 30 guys who played left handed.

I liked banking the 1ball hitting it thinly avoiding the 8ball with right spin sending the cue ball around the 3ball for shape on the 12ball.

I like being close to the OB so I would first look at the 3, but I think I'm in the camp with the 1 ball bankers, CB into the 8. Even if I dont hit the 8 full, I shouldn't sell out a shot and hopefully have 2 balls near my hole and let him shoot next.
