Feel free to share your thoughts and any news.

No one under 21...Anybody who has been to DCC and went to the gambling boat knows they have gates and card. I expect the same this year except with no access to the entire building without ID. That's how it his here.

So far there is no room available for the Hall of Fame Dinner. Unless something changes that is cancelled.

No Action award again this year.

No 14:1 challenge... might pick up a few extra tournament tables

They seem to have tried to fix the too many bank entries by jacking the bank entry from 110.00 to 160.00.. And they doubled the buy back from 50 to 100.00...lol Thanks from all us bank players DCC..

One Pocket went up from 135 to 160 entry- 75.00 to 100 for the buy back .

9 ball stayed the same at 160-100

Oh, if you want to bring the wifey or hubby it will cost you 50 for a spouse card...

On a speculatory note... things i expect to see this year besides increased prices...
No more action room during tournament hours like last year
Slot machines scattered around up stairs. Also wonder if Ray will have his Action room this year.
Will i still go? Yes, although one pocket only for sure this year.

You Live close. Good reason to stop in for a few days and enjoy. When you think of the three disciplines and the interest in each, there is a lot to enjoy. It’s too far for me. And the last time it was for 10 days. What’s the name of that movie?, THEY SHOOT HORSES. I miss sitting in the stands with John, watching the semis and the finals. The food? I don’t think I have ever gone somewhere and had such poor food from so many choices. Going out and about is nostalgic for me. The dinner, I think you could have a smaller dinner somewhere. The Crab man knows of a place. Anyway, 21 means Filler can’t play? Have fun all.

Yea, its 3 hours and I stay at my nephews home in town so the trip is worth it to visit the kids too. I used to go for a week but a few days seems enough these days with a extra day before hand with the kids

Yes, a bummer on several fronts. I imagine DCC has a contract with the Horseshoe, but those changes you would think would open the door to negating the remainder of the contract because of the significant changes to the conditions for the DCC -- going forward of course not this year. I might shorten my own trip since I do not have to prepare for the HOF dinner there this year, and getting tables for our member impromptu king of the hill sessions is highly unlikely also. Of course table availability has been trending that way for a while.

I would think Ray is OK because he is in a private small meeting room on the convention side that I do not think got renovated. Good question though.

The added entry fees are also balanced with additional added money in both Banks and One Pocket -- I think now up to $25,000, which is pretty significant!

I was just reading that the new casino "on one level" opens to the public Dec 12. The boat has apparently closed -- at least they held a bon voyage party already lol. Maybe someone local can check it out after Dec 12. It sounds like the casino will be bleeding into our usual tournament/social area -- such as the Rotunda. But I say that in speculation, not actual knowledge. That would explain why under 21 pool players cannot go anymore.

Guys, so as I understand it the convention area is now a casino? I don't know if that's better or worse? Is that upstairs and downstairs?
