For those from Philadelphia and South Jersey Eddie Carr, a local one-pocket player, recently passed. He played at the Boulevard, Tacony Billiards, Cherry Hill Billiards, and Emerald City in NJ.
A little quiz! (for us older guys)😄😄😄😄 Which NFL coach said “Offense sells tickets defense wins games”? He had great defensive teams and went to the Super Bowl but never won.
If you want to read a copy of Eddie Robin’s book go to your local library and ask them to do a search. I did this a few years ago and they found a copy in the Newark, NJ library which I was able to take out on loan.
Just got news that Jim Hill, one time owner of Tacony Billiard, has died. Jim liked to play One-Pocket and we matched up many times. No other details available at this time.
Has anyone ever won an even game of one-pocket where your opponent made every ball for you? If not, what's the most balls your opponent made in your pocket?
Henry was taken out of Tacony Billiards in Phila. by the rescue squad the other day after filling ill. Results of heart and other tests were negative so it seems he'll be fine. Dr's chalked it up to advancing age.

I saw Eften shoot that shot against a very good Phil. player. It blew the guy away and he never recovered. It was quite a few years ago before everyone knew of his magic.

He's truely amazing!!! The interesting part of the shot to me is the fact that you can't use low right since it might come off the 2nd rail too high. He recognizes this instantly whereas I might have used the wrong English and would only know it was wrong after I screwed it up. In addition...
This question came up on a tape of a match I was watching narrated by Buddy Hall and Nick Varner. Your trying to spot a ball in a tight cluster and the ball slips out of your hand scattering the balls. It didn't happen in the match but they brought up the question and didn't have an answer.
Some of you probably know Peter Rabbit from Philadelphia and probably are not aware that he's in a hospice with brain cancer. He will most likely spent his remaining days at this facility. I spoke to his nurse today and due to his medication he sleeps quite a bit but is still alert and goes...
