I created this system many years ago, (early 80's).

Here's a very simple numerical system for kicking, 1 or 2 cushions, to a point on the second rail or, contacting an OB on or close to the cushion, or even when it's along the connecting line from the 1st rail to the 2nd one.

The CB requires, moderate 12 O'clock English.

The diamonds are divided into to 'tenths,' for the Aiming point rails.

This diagram shows an example of a 1 or 2 cushion kick to the left bottom hole, (5 ball).

The formula is: CB x OB position = Aiming point on 1st rail.

With this system, the CB and OB and Aiming points are all calculated to the front of the cushions, (face of the rubber).

BTW, who identify what makes this numeric system, a True numeric system?

Thanks mr3c. I was hoping when the Bank thread got expanded to include also kicks that not only great kick shots would be shown but also diagrams of systems would be included.

So if the cb is on 5 then the aiming would be 10, which I would assume is the 1st diamond approx. I am showing my ignorance, but anxious to learn. Whitey

if you read carefully mr3c post above he mentions the aim and start points for this system are AT the diamond meaning the rail nose in front of the diamonds Not THRU the diamond where you aim at the diamond on the rail
the diamonds you are aiming at can be 10/20/30 etc sometimes they will be 1/2/3 etc
mr3c please correct my post if there are any inaccuracy

mr3c, Howdy;

What is your defination of a "Short" table? 1/2 of a regular Billiard,
9X4.5, or Bar Box???
I do like the simple math.

Hank, the, 'size' of the table is not relevant. The 'short table' refers to, the distance from the side pockets to the short rail, at one end of the other.

So the balls often aren't on the rails so do you go perpendicular to the rail to find their #'s ?

Here's how to calculate positions, when the OB and CB are not on the cushions.

The OB numbers always remain the same, no matter if the OB is on rail or not.
The CB numbers change according to the position of the OB.
The, 'second rail number', always starts with the distance the OB lies from the, 'short' rail with "0".

Always start the CB count from the, real or imaginary long rail numbers.

I think this diagram is, 'self-explanatory.'

Ok, thanks, I'm more used to hearing that as " 1/2 table ".
