Bank Pool
Hi Jim,
I had a similar situation happen to me 3 years ago, I was playing against Mike Surber (rest his soul), being ahead 4 to 2 in banks in the case game, cue ball was on the head rail, ball one was near the right side pocket, ball 2 was hanging in the right bottom pocket out of play, ball 3 was a foot off the rail from the right bottom pocket, I made the mistake of pocketing the ball near the right hand pocket bringing the cueball up table, I didn't hit the ball hard enough, left a cross side bank on the ball near the side pocket, Mike made position on the ball a foot off the rail and then banked the ball on the spot cross side, by this time I was talking to myself, could not believe that I made such a careless mistake, after replaying the game in my mind, I should have nudged the ball a foot off the rail, pushed it towards the ball at the bottom right hand corner, this happened in the 7th round of the tournament, who knows how much it cost me.
Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you at the DCC, maybe next year, I'd love to play some banks with you.
